Justin Morneau added Olympic Torch carrier to his long list of accomplishments last week. On Thursday, the Minnesota Twins first baseman and Canadian Native carried the Olympic Torch in Vancouver. The Olympic Torch was carried 2,800 miles across Canada by over 12,000 Canadians ."It's something that's once in a lifetime. Maybe I'll stick around to watch Canada beat Norway [in hockey] and then get ready for Spring Training," Justin Morneau said.
Also on Justin Morneau’s long list of accomplishments is a 2006 American League Most Valuable Player, 3 All-Star titles, 2 Silver Slugger Awards and a career 163 home runs.
Justin Morneau is expected to report to Lee County, Florida where the Minnesota Twins Spring Training is scheduled to start on February 27th.
