MN Twins Joe Mauer on Waivers

Even though there aren't any signs that the Twins are looking to move Joe Mauer, a $184 million man, they still popped him on the waiver to test the waters on other teams interest.

Oh, why oh why? Do they like to stress people out or something? Fans were in a frenzy about even the possibility of this Cretin Alum getting traded.

So, there are no signs that an actual trade will happen. Why do it then? The strategic placing on the waiver will remain a mystery. But, fans can feel a whole lot better knowing that in Mauers contract, he has vetoing rights. And, let's be honest, why would he ever want to leave?
